Sie repräsentierten erwachen und hoffnung . Er genoss sie ästhetisch und fand freude daran, blühende bäume zu malen . die arbeiten spiegeln den impressionismus wider , divisionistische und japanische holzschnitt-einflüsse . mandelblüte wurde gemacht, um die geburt seines neffen und namensvetters zu feiern , sohn seines bruders theo und sister-in-law Jo .
